I design immersive, learner-centered experiences that are engaging, accessible, and focused on skill development through evidence-based solutions.
My Story
With over 14 years of experience in both corporate and educational settings, I began my career as a high school science teacher in the NYCDOE and Mexico City, where I developed inquiry- and project-based curricula in both English and Spanish. As a department lead, I mentored fellow educators, deepening my understanding of pedagogy. My Master’s in Education has guided my application of learning theory throughout my career.

For the past three years, I’ve been a Senior Learning Designer at Udemy, specializing in shaping impactful learning experiences through AI-driven tools. I collaborate with cross-functional teams—product, design, engineering, and data science—to inform the development of learning features like AI chatbots, AI-powered learning paths, content discovery tools, assessments, authentic practice features, and the course-taking experience. My work has been key in guiding product decisions through learning requirement documentation, consultations, and continuous feature refinement based on feedback. For example, my recommendations for the AI-powered Learning Paths and AI Assistant led to significant increases in user engagement, and my skill mapping framework improved the accuracy of personalized learning journeys.

In addition to my product work, I collaborated with technical SMEs to create project-based learning experiences called Labs, refining training materials, providing instructor feedback, and developing guidelines for technical subjects like Azure and Data Science.

Bilingual and passionate about integrating new technologies into my work, I’m committed to making learning experiences both effective and enjoyable. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring the outdoors, practicing yoga, and traveling, always seeking new ways to bring creativity and mindfulness into my designs.
